Born in the Republic of China (Taiwan), Grandmaster Yung S Chen migrated to Canada at a young age.  His 35 years of Taekwondo training has been mentored by some fine Taekwondo instructors in Canada and abroad, including the late GM Ally CH Teoh in Malaysia.

 

Grandmaster Yung Chen’s passion in Taekwondo motivated and drove him unceasingly in the Taekwondo martial art.  He traveled to Malaysia in 2015 just to receive his mentorship from the late Grandmaster Ally CH Teoh, which earned him the conferment of his Master rank by Grandmaster Ally Teoh.

Grandmaster Yung Chen was a fearsome fighter in the ring during his competition years in the heavy weight category.  He has developed an unique training system in sparring technique which has helped many to face their opponents in sparring competitions with a fearless psychology.

Besides Taekwondo martial art, Grandmaster Yung Chen is also seriously involved in weight training to maintain an attractive physique for someone in his age. He is a passionate enthusiast in both Taekwondo and weight training while engaging a very busy career as an auto mechanic for over 40 years.

Grandmaster Yung Chen is also a paneled photographer for the Canadian Aviation, he has shot a few award winning masterpieces at Canadian Air Show in the past years and earned him a renowned reputation as a professional photographer of his class.

Grandmaster Yung Chen is a member of the Founding Core Group (FCG) who has co-founded the International Taekwondo Confederation in 2020 and is the Public Affairs Vice President who also takes charge as Director and Co-Directors of a few Boards in the Board of Directors
